Where has the time gone?

My loyal subjects. It has been fortnights aplenty. I have been so very busy with the new baby and all. The parentals love us both and the baby loves me too. I just love her. We've had to make a few changes in our life, literally. LOL! No one told me how great poppy diapers were! Yes, now we are talking. I love the smell and taste of a poppy diaper. I've been told they aren't good for me. What?! How can anything that seems so great be bad?

I've heard talk that humans have the same issue. They think something is good only to find out late that it wasn't good to begin with. Relationships is one area. Abandonment issue, something rescue dogs know a lot about, is a big problem with humans too. When two people are in a committed relationship but one is in constant fear of losing the other it can be down right distressing. We dogs show it by becoming nervous and acting out. Humans do the same it is just harder to 'see' but I do. Momma and I watched this movie called "Lars and the Real Girl." That was obvious to everyone. I think everyone should ask themselves if they fear being alone, not losing a loved one, but truly fear being alone. Those who do may need to change their behavior, they need to go down to the pet store and take a few classes on behavior and learning to trust your companion. If trust isn't there then maybe it doesn't deserve to be and it is time to move on. You have to have self-trust, self-love, self-awareness and self-understanding to move forward. Stop deluding and . . .
Love yourself!

I'm in Love!!!

Once again it is I Sara the Blind Dog. Well my little baby girl has arrived. I am so happy the parentals brought her home to play with me.I have mentioned in the past that we could always send her back if she didn't work out. Well...I'm vetoing that idea. I love her. I love her so much I am willing to step aside and co-princess with her. Together we will rule the world..or at least our condo. She crys and squeaks.
Cuddle time
I think it is so cute. It is funny how someone that appears so helpless and weak is so very strong. She may not be strong physically however she can hold an entire room captive. The humans just hold her and rock her everyone is waiitng for her next move. It is so funny to watch them. What makes something so small so powerful? Is it the love she has or the love we have for her or maybe both? Wouldn't it be great if we could put it all in a little pill and give it to all the bad people in the world. Our Nana read a quote the other day: "Your day will go the way the corners of your mouth turn." I guess it means it is all in the attitude. I'm not so sure what that means if you're standing on your head.  But wouldn't it be great if humans could all turn their days happy?
Watching over my baby girl.
I am the happiest dog in the world and my humans are happy too. We're good for each other because
We're good to each other. Be good to your neighbors.

Peace
XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXo

Hiding Behind a Mask

Once again friends, it is I Sara the Blind Dog. Yes, I am wearing a dress shaking paws with one of my loyal subjects, as a princess it is my duty. Human's they are so cute.

It reminds me of how they laugh at us dogs when we don't realize they are watching and then we steal a little human snack off the coffee table. We hide and pretend like we don't see them when we are caught. If we don't see them then they don't see us. What is so funny with that logic? I really get stuck with that one most of the time because after all I am visually impaired.

Humans hide too. They like to dress up and pretend things are different than they really are. The word personality is believed to be derived from the word persona. Persona is defined as a character's role. We dogs are who we are. Humans choose who they are or at least who they want other humans to believe they are. Sometimes I think they even try to pretend they are someone else to themselves. They like to act like a character they wish they were. It is really quite silly if you ask me. Young tweens and teens pretending they are one of the Kardashians thinking if they buy their products and clothing they will be popular and well received. I think being who you are carries a lot less heartache. I recently heard about a Facebook post where a young, pretty, and popular teenager was asked out to homecoming by a less than popular guy. He showed up at her front door with roses and an invitation. She said yes. Now this girl is not only pretty she is beautiful. She did not have a persona. She was genuine. If this is true then she is my hero.

Be yourself and you will be loved by somebody. And that somebody is well worth it.

Baby Kennel?

I just don't understand it. What does my Momma mean by Baby Kennel? She said the new kennel is for a baby. Why the heck are they getting a baby anyway?
Everyone says my life is getting ready to change. I'm going to be a "dog" now. Don't they realize I am Princess Sara? This whole baby thing may or may not work out. From what I heard she's going to poop inside the house, wake up at night whinning, and she'll sit on the couch. I don't think that is going to go over very well with the parentals. There is always the "trying" it out period. If she doesn't work out we might just have to take her back.

I think I'll love having someone to play with all day. I can't wait to lick her toes. I bet she will squeal when I do it. I, so I've heard, will be fed all sorts of yummy snacks from her highchair and I am getting my own rug to put under the crib so I don't trip my momma or daddy at night. I think I'll want to sleep close by the baby. She'll need me there.

Yep, the more I think about it the more I like the idea of a new little pup for me to show around this big world. I see things a little differently than most and I'm going to teach our new little baby just how special blind dogs can be. She's gonna love me, and I already love her. I love 'ya Rylee

My Mini-Pad

Apparently, it is not permissible to retrieve mini-pads out of the trashcan. After my little escapade was discovered, my Momma put me in my bed to think about what I had done. It wasn't long until my mind turned from what I had done to how those tasty little treats are used. There is the obvious. For Mommas all over the world to have fresher feeling panties. I had ten minutes of solitary confinement to serve and during that time I came up with a few uses of my own. Of course, these uses are for the newly opened fresh mini-pads (rather bland if you ask me).

1.      Panty patch, this is for the time when you discover you have a hole in your panties and you are wearing a dress and it is windy outside. You simply cover one side of the hole with one mini-pad and then use a second on the other side, adhesive to adhesive. Booyah...your junk will remain well hidden.
2.      Sleep mask, this is great when traveling and you forgot your elastic banded sleep mask; the fun part is you don't have to worry about slippage. Just peel and stick.
3.      To reduce seat belt rubs. Simply wrap the shoulder harness with a soft cottony pad and instant relief from chafing.
4.      Quiet the clicking of toe nails with these handy sneak attacks slippers. Just stick one to the bottom of each foot and not only do you feel like you’re walking on a cloud no one can hear you as you approach the trashcan. Yessss indeed. This is my personal favorite.
5.      Lint roller. Many ladies carry a small purse or clutch, a large lint roller is a little cumbersome. No need to worry, just pull out an emergency mini-pad, peel and pat away. Say good-bye to dog hair, lint, and little stray strings.
6.      Designer Pasties: Sometimes there is just no hiding those temperature controlled nipples (I have eight). The lovely, figure 8, styled pads make a great fashion statement and guess what girls? No bra straps to adjust.
7.      Baby socks that won't fall off. Too many babies lose their little socks in the grocery store or while out shopping. Never again, just peel, stick, and wrap. Those Itty Bitties can kick all day long their mini-pad socks will stay put.
8.      Disposal cup holder rattle reducer:  It drives my Nana crazy when she hears the cups rattling around in the cup holder as she drives around town. Not only will mini-pads keep the ride quiet, it will also absorb condensation and at the end of the day you just pull them up and throw them away. You can use a fresh one on the next trip. BAAArillant!!!
9.      Everyone knows about those little padded circles that are stuck at the bottom of a vase to prevent marring of the furniture. Well, guess what folks? Now, when they end up missing all you need is a min-pad, a pair of scissors, and a steady hand.
10. Sneeze guards can prevent your clothes from having that peed in look. Just use once day during allergy season.

Peaccccceeeeeeee over and I’m out!

Sad Days

Some days are happy and some days are sad. Today is a sad day for me and my family. Our cousin's three week old baby passed on. Faith is what drives us. Faith of what lay ahead for him in Heaven. Heaven may be just an imaginary place however when you add faith it becomes a beautiful place. A place where loving arms are ready to hold and comfort him. A place where he will no longer feel pain. A place where we can see in our minds’ eye his continuing life. Faith gives us comfort. They say we dogs don't go to heaven, but I don't know who all the children play with if there aren't any of us around. I think we do. We go and we play and play all day in the bright happy sun. That is where I believe the children go. Sad days will slowly turn to not so sad days and maybe eventually happy days with sad moments.  It is that way for us dogs as well as for people. We mourn too. We wonder why? We finally find a way to continue and we do as hard as it may be at first. Yes, today is a sad day. Love, peace and comfort to those children on their journey to heaven as well as to their families.

Bless you KMD

Princess Sara

Princess Sara the Blind Dog
Once again it is I, Sara the Blind Dog. As I mentioned in an earlier post It is I, Sara the Blind Dog, I am treated as a princess. Yes... life is good. Let me talk a moment about Love and Validation. I love my family, when my parentals come home from work I bark and jump all the while excitedly wagging my tail. I show them when they walk in the door how important they are to me. My excitement is contagious. They smile and say "hi Sara." I wish people were more like dogs, I think the world would be a happier place. Just think about it, when you come home from a hard day at work being greeted by someone with a smile on their face and they acknowledge your presence with enthusiasm. Children (who, by the way, are my personal favorite) being greeted by their parents the same way. They are welcomed home by parents who are actually happy to see them and not screaming, "Don't put that there, take it to your room and while you're there clean it!" It is sad how humans ignore and judge each other. I don’t care if my family walks around butt-naked to the world, I love who they are not how they look. That is why man’s best friend is a dog. You can trust a dog with all your heart.

As a princess, I have declared the follow rules:
  1. Greet each member of your family when they come home with enthusiasm, (tail wagging is optional).
  2. Do not judge those that live within your household, save judgment for the idiots on the road.
  3. Validate every member of your household’s existence every single day.

Peaccccceeeeeeee over and I’m out!
